Richard F. Cox, Jr. - Director

Richard Cox was appointed director of OTTED in 2001.

He is responsible for managing and directing the office and for providing counsel and advice to senior officials of the University of Hawai’i on intellectual property, licensing, and technology transfer matters.

In addition, Richard works with the faculty to expand opportunities for industry-sponsored research collaborations and serves as a liaison between University researchers and local, national and international high technology firms.

Gaylene Anderson - Licensing Associate

Gaylene Anderson has been with OTTED since 2002.

As a licensing associate, Gaylene is responsible for serving the following research organizations:

Lisa Matsunaga - Licensing Associate

Lisa Matsunaga has been with OTTED since 1998.

As a licensing associate, Lisa works with the College of Tropical Agriculture and Human Resources and its related research centers and other units.

She's also responsible for assisting faculty members from all units of the University not served by other Licensing Associates.

Ann Park - Licensing Associate/Technology Outreach Coordinater

Ann Park has been with OTTED since 1991.

As a licensing associate and technology outreach coordinator, Ann is responsible for serving the following research organizations:

• School of Medicine
• School of Nursing
• College of Business Administration
• School of Travel Industry Management
• Cancer Research Center of Hawaii

She also serves as an information contact for faculty and student start-up enterprise issues, and acts as the University interface with the High Technology Development Corporation for its SBIR and STTR support programs.

She serves as one of the University's business opportunity facilitators for companies or government agencies seeking access to the resources of the University.

Jonathan Roberts - Licensing Associate

Jonathan Roberts has been with OTTED since 1989. As a licensing associate, Jonathan works with the following research organizations:
